Man killed after concrete truck rolls onto his car at Lehigh Acres intersection

On Wednesday morning, a man was killed in a concrete mixer truck crash at a Lehigh Acres intersection.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 42-year-old man from Lehigh Acres was driving a sedan west on Lee Boulevard, approaching Westwing Lane around 6:40 a.m. A cement truck driven by a 52-year-old man from Lehigh Acres was traveling east on Lee Boulevard.

The sedan driver lost control of his car, jumped the median, and entered the path of the cement truck. The cement truck hit the car, then hit a tree and rolled, landing on top of part of the car it hit.

The 42-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
